RICK HODGINS
Rick Hodgins was born in 1944 in Holdenville,  Oklahoma and now resides at Lake Travis in the Hudson Bend
area with his wife, Sherron.

He was educated at The University of Oklahoma earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1967.  He sits on
the Advisory Board of the Electrical Engineering school at OU. He worked as an advisor to the Navy,
specifically, working with Admiral Rickover, considered the Father of the Nuclear Navy, on inertial navigation
on Polaris submarines.  He received  Entrepreneur of the Year in Oklahoma in 1992.  Today he is a Director
of Emergent Technologies and Chairman of the Board of The TexArts Foundation.  He enjoys a single digit
golf handicap, hunting and fishing.

Rick paints in oils and watercolors.  He started watercolor painting under the tutorage of Gerald Brommer of
California.  He has also studied with Arne Westerman, Harold Phenix, Sonya Terpening, Ron Rencher, Larrry
Prellop, Tom Palmore, Gregg Krentz, Otto Deucker, William Shephard, Jeff Legg, Jean Chambers, Robert
Johnson and extensively with David Leffel of The Art Students League of New York.  His paintings are in
private and commercial collections throughout The United States and Europe.

He is a member of  Oil Painters of America and G.A.S.
